Welcome Home Network

Creating safe, supported homes through shared compassion and commitment.

About this Program

The Welcome Home Network is a new pilot program designed to expand housing

opportunities for tenants who often face barriers in the rental market. The program will focus

on working with landlords to house individuals and families who are traditionally deemed

higher risk, such as those with limited income, a history of evictions, or poor credit. A Place to

Call Home will provide families with strong supports that reduce landlord risk while giving

tenants a fair chance at stable housing.

A Place to Call Home will partner with landlords and property managers by providing case

management, tenant education, and financial wellness support to ensure households are

prepared for successful tenancy.

Program Highlights
Connects landlords with prepared, supported tenants
Expands housing access for families facing rental barriers
Case management and ongoing support for participating households

Why this Program is Special

Community change only happens when we work together. Past mistakes or financial hardships shouldn’t prevent families from accessing a safe, affordable home forever. Barriers to housing that cause tenants to be “higher risk” could also cause them to become homeless.

By asking landlords to rely on A Place to Call Home to provide support to the families, landlords assume little risk and families can finally find a place to call home.
